Death on the Job

Not to be morbid, but we found this statistic from the Department of Labor pretty startling:

Research indicates that between 10 and 20 percent of the nation’s workers who die on the job test positive for alcohol or other drugs. (source.)

It’s a good reminder that even if employees use drugs & alcohol in their own time, it doesn’t mean the effects of the substances quit once they punch their time card and begin work. As as a resource for employers who want a drug-free workplace, we started to wonder how we can help.
